Kay, mom and I both got the same model of speaker (Sony SRS). The headphone jacks don't seem to work on either unit, and there doesn't appear to be a button or a switch to change modes or some such thing. I've checked everything I possibly could in my speaker and soundcard settings as well. Any idea?

Consult the manual, and if it is not working as advertised, return it to Amazon, at least I think that's where you purchased it?

Never mind, turns out it's an audio input jack.

I have a small collection of very cheap BT speakers and none of them have a headphone output option, so assume any standard 3.5 MM jack you see is so you can plug in an audio cable and connect it to a non-Bluetooth device and use the speaker as a very standard ordinary speaker.

Like a line in cable?

Line in and headphone jack are the same 3.5MM plug. I like my soundpod, just wish it was a bit louder. But for its size, it's decent.

This one's good for tv shows and movies and the like. A little two transistor radio-ish for music.
